As a 3-year-old, appearing for a drawing exam for the first time in my life, I, like every child, did not listen to my teacher when she said paint only inside the object given to you. I gleefully colored the whole page.

And failed in my first ever drawing exam!

"Weak in Drawing!" was the comment my class teacher left on my nursery report card. 

Fast forward to May 2013. 

I became the first artist in India to hold a solo art exhibition in a shopping mall (Inorbit Mall, Whitefield, Bangalore).

It has been a remarkable journey. It is an ongoing one with new learning every day!

As an artist and art teacher at Sun Flower Art School, Rourkela, founded by renowned artist, Late Sri Jaspal Singh, I and my students conducted several group exhibitions and fine art workshops between 1998-2001.

Over the years, I have been blessed with tons of learning and the unique opportunity to teach hundreds of aspiring artists of every age. Some recent highs: 

I had the privilege of being a judge for the Little Picasso Art Competition in 2022, of participating in the Online Exhibition of Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, and being interviewed by YourStory.

But most of all, I have been so blessed with the most amazing clients. Lovely people who have shown deep love for my creations by taking them home and cherishing them. Wonderful people who entrust their children and their own art journeys to me and shower me with their happiness as we embark on joyful art adventures in my classes.

I am grateful. To the people who came into my life and taught me valuable lessons; especially my brilliant students who teach me every day. And to life, for supporting me through every learning.
